A nicely proportioned mid 19th century Victorian pine chest of drawers, with three graduating drawers running from smallest at the top to largest at the bottom. The drawers are fitted with later but period-correct ebonised knobs which complement the stripped pine carcase well, and the whole piece sits on its original turned feet retaining their original finish.
The drawers slide well and are solidly made throughout. There are some charming patch repairs to the drawer fronts and minor splits to the sides and top, nothing structural, all of which add to rather than detract from the character of the piece. Some long gone historic woodworm, treated by us as a precaution. Lovely original paneled back.
