A handsome example of an Aesthetic Movement period Victorian pine chest of drawers, circa 1880. This chest offers the classic two-over-three drawer configuration in generously proportioned form, fitted with new but period-correct wooden knobs. It features a moulded top and a large, rounded plinth base.
All drawers run smoothly on their original runners. The pine has a lovely warm, honey colour throughout, with plenty of character — marks, dents, and small signs of age all adding to its charm. We've carried out repairs where necessary, eased the drawers so they run smoothly, and given the whole piece a good wax finish.
