A scarce early 19th century simulated bamboo side or console table, constructed with a pine carcass and elegant turned beech legs in the Regency taste. The table features a single frieze drawer fitted with period turned wooden knobs beneath a wonderfully worn and tactile pine top.
Over time, the piece has developed a beautifully soft, naturally bleached surface with excellent colour and patina throughout. Rich in character, it shows signs of historic woodworm consistent with its age and authenticity. A genuine and increasingly rare survivor of Regency-period furniture, dating to 1820.
