A large and impressive Victorian pine chest of drawers, likely West Country in origin, ebonised at some point and distressed to give it a lightly worn, aged look.
Classic 2-over-3 arrangement with later sympathetic turned wooden knobs in keeping with the period, sitting on original bracket feet. The drawers are deep and generous, all running well with good solid pine interiors. The bracket feet are a nice detail, slightly more refined than the typical bun foot and again point to good quality original construction. Some honest wear throughout which only adds to the character, this is a piece that looks like it's lived a proper life.
