A very large, country house scale early Victorian pine chest of drawers c.1840. Three deep drawers, all running smoothly, with original turned bun feet that are still in great shape. Beautiful Victorian period crackled white porcelain knobs which set the warm tones off this chest beautifully.
Retains traces of old paint throughout, a nice bit of history that only adds to the character of the piece. At this scale and this age, these chests don't come up very often; genuinely one of the harder things to find on the market right now. All completely solid but showing years of character and patina. A superb chest of drawers best suited in a large bedroom or hallway.
