A lovely slab of marble to the top, a beautiful rouge/red veined slab with great movement in the stone, framed by a three-sided gallery. Below that, a single drawer with its original diamond-shaped knob, reeded turned legs, a lower shelf and those lovely ball finial towel rail ends on either side.
Works brilliantly as a hallway console, side table, drinks table or bathroom unit. The ebonised finish means it sits just as happily in a modern interior as it does in a more traditional setting. Some age-related wear to the marble, a little crack in the back and paint consistent with its age, all part of the charm.
